Privacy Policy – HNote

HNote is a note-taking application developed and published by hDigital.

1. Information We Collect

HNote is designed primarily to store and manage information entered by the user within the application.

The information that may be stored by HNote includes:

• Notes and note content

• Reminder information, including birthdays, events and meetings

• Note organization information such as pinned status and ordering

• Application preferences such as theme and list/grid view settings

• Backup files created by the user

HNote does not require users to create an account or provide their name, email address, phone number or other personal information to use the current version of the application.

HNote does not intentionally collect contacts, location, microphone recordings, photographs, health information or browsing history.

2. How We Use Information

Information stored in HNote is used only to provide the application's functionality, including:

• Creating, editing and organizing notes

• Searching and viewing notes

• Managing reminders

• Formatting note content

• Personalizing application settings

• Creating and restoring user-initiated backups

HNote does not sell users' personal information.

3. Data Storage

HNote is designed to store application data locally on the user's device.

HNote does not currently provide cloud synchronization of notes or reminders.

When a user chooses to create a backup, HNote creates a backup file that the user may save, share or store using services of their choice.

Users are responsible for protecting any exported backup files after they leave the HNote application.

4. Data Sharing

HNote does not sell or share users' note content or reminder information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

When the user intentionally exports, shares or restores a backup file, the file may be accessed by the destination application or service selected by the user.

HNote does not use note content for advertising purposes.

5. Data Security

HNote takes reasonable measures to protect application data stored and handled by the application.

However, no electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should also protect their device and any exported backup files.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

HNote retains locally stored notes and reminder information until the user deletes them or the application data is removed from the device.

Users can delete notes and reminders using the functionality provided within HNote.

Exported backup files are controlled by the user and are not automatically deleted by HNote. Users should delete exported backup files from the locations where they have stored them if they are no longer required.

The current version of HNote does not provide user accounts or cloud-stored personal data.

7. Children's Privacy

HNote is not specifically directed toward children.

8. Third-Party Services

HNote may use third-party libraries or services required for technical functionality, application distribution, payments or other features introduced in the application.

Where third-party services collect or process information, their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies and applicable requirements.

This Privacy Policy will be updated if HNote introduces additional services or data processing that materially changes how user information is handled.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when HNote's functionality, data practices or applicable requirements change.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
